After 20 years of wedding photography I have decided to take a bit of a break. Weddings are exhausting. The post-production is daunting and I was starting to resent my loss of free time. I bought my first Nikon at age 14 to photograph rock bands. That has always been my passion. Back then you could just show up at a concert with your camera and nobody batted an eye. Now you need to be cleared for a photo pass. I have been lucky so far and have been able to photograph a lot of my favorite bands from "the pit". To do so I need my weekends free since most concerts occur on weekends. Most weddings occur on weekends. At this point in my life I would rather be at a concert than at a wedding. I have enjoyed capturing so many special days of young love just starting out and pledging their lives together. I am truly grateful for every one of you that allowed me to capture your wedding. While I will still photograph High School Seniors I will no longer book any weddings, well if you happen to be getting married in Tahiti and need a photographer I would certainly oblige, but I don't anticipate that happening. I am building my new image on social media as "The Girl At The Rock Show" and I hope to photograph and blog about many, many rock concerts. I believe the future of rock-n-roll is bright and I want to help people discover new bands. I hope you will look me up on social media: Facebook, Instagram and I even have a TikTok where I talk about rock bands! Cheers to new adventures!
